Questions about lock repair
My key sticks in the lock. Is that fixable?
Usually yes. Sticking is often a worn cylinder or a key issue, both of which we can address. Catching it early avoids a future lockout.
The deadbolt does not line up with the hole anymore.
That is typically a strike or alignment problem from a door settling or swelling. We realign the strike and door so the bolt throws smoothly again.
Is repairing cheaper than replacing?
